Dave is celebrating 10 years of working in Canada's Vibrant Television Industry.
Recent credits include the 2014 Juno Awards where he worked with 3 time Juno winners Tegan and Sara, rap artist Classified, Serena Ryder, and Walk off the Earth in a stunning fusion performance with The Red Robe Native Drummers of Winnipeg.
Dave is best known as a live TV choreographer with well over 100 live broadcasts which have aired on every major Canadian Network. Canadian Idol, (six seasons) Radio Free Roscoe, Deal or no Deal, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?, the 17th and 18th Gemini Awards and three Canada’s Walk of Fame Specials with stars including WWE's Trish Stratus, Howie Mandel, Alice Cooper, Tom Cochrane, and the Tenors. He also appeared in front of the camera for 4 seasons as a regular on YTV's top rated The Next Star.
Dave is a graduate of The Ryerson Theatre School, and began his career in the live entertainment industry. He has performed on major North American Stages from coast to coast, internationally through Europe and Japan, and has toured with the National Arts Centre, sung operas, cruised oceans, and spent a lovely two years at the Princess of Wales with the original Disney's Beauty and the Beast Company in his native Toronto.
Dave was proud to direct Toronto's revival and re-imagination of CATS! which played to sold out houses and critical acclaim at the Panasonic Theatre, part of Mirvish's 25th year anniversary season, and as well direct the 100th Anniversary Spectacular for Toronto's Landmark Elgin and Wintergarden Theatres.
Previous adventures include work on London's West End with the creative team of “A Round Heeled Woman” starring Sharon Gless. (Cagney and Lacey, Queer as Folk, Burn Notice).
For Theatre, he has directed for Drayton Entertainment, Theatre Aquarius, Theatre Muskoka, The Orillia Opera House, NuMu Theatricals, The Elgin Wintergarden, The Sudbury Theatre Centre, Tribal Productions, and so many more.
US credits include direction of 42nd Street, The All Night Strut, On The Town, The Andrew’s Brothers, The World Goes Round, and the choreography of My Fair Lady, Working, cult classics Reefer Madness, and Grey Gardens, as well as the premiere of Bombshells the Musical at Actor’s Playhouse. He has twice directed for Oakland University's Theatre Department including the North American premiere of Brenda Bly, Teen Detective, and the always infectious, Legally Blond.
In Florida he has been nominated for a Broadway World - Best Choreographer Award, and also for a Carbonell award for best choreography on The All Night Strut, a show which he also directed.
In 2006 Dave was nominated for The Governor General’s Award for his potential for excellence in direction.
